My Yamaha F310 CS
Yamaha F310 Cherry Sun burst is the first Acoustic guitar that I’ve bought. I’m a beginner. I bought it from a store here in Trivandrum and it costed nearly Rs.10000. I know I’m some what like in a hurry to write the review as it is only 5 or 6 months since I bought the guitar. Its not a professional review, so it may disappoint you.
Here we go.
What actually I had planned to buy was a guitar worth Rs. 7000. It is this guitar’s mind blowing looks which attracted me and pursued me to go for it. The Cherry sunburst painting is very good. Nice wooden finish. I hate the holes on the head of many guitars. Fortunately the holes are closed for this one. It have nice and compact metallic screws for tuning.
SoundThe sweetest sound I’ve heard from an acoustic guitar. Also very good sustain. My guitar teacher told me that it will be great to sing songs while playing with this guitar as it sounds very good. We can see that distinctive vertical stripes on the face of the guitar which states that “tonewood” has been used. The low notes are having a bit of problem to reach the sound hole and thats the only thing that I’m disappointed with. But comparing the price, its fine.
DurabilityIt has been 6 months, the only thing that I have noticed is that There is a small amount of rust in my high E string. I don’t know how it happened, but I’m not at all happy with it. But from other reviews it is understood that it is durable. Also someone stated that the varnish chips easily. So need an eye on that too.
Pros Attractive looks Clean sound Ease of playing because of thin neck Affordable price Cons Rather wimpy bass Brittle on the upper neck SummaryThis guitar is recommended for the beginners. It is durable, Affordable and a quality stuff from Yamaha.
